quotations & pricing
- Prices will be fixed for a period of 1 month from the date of the quotation.
- Once a quote is accepted we will require a 50% upfront deposit before work commences.
- The remaining balance of 50% will be requested at the end of the fully completed works.
- All goods and materials remain the property of Sherborne Handyman until paid in full.
- Prices are NOT subject to VAT, and prices are fully inclusive for all labour, materials will be added as an additional cost, unless agreed in writing .
invoicing & payments
- Customers are required to pay Sherborne Handyman in full for all works completed.
- any outstanding balances must be paid on the day of completed works.
- unless agreed in writing, with the remaining balance to be settled in full as displayed on all invoices.
- Failure to pay outstanding balance will result in legal proceedings being actioned.
- All invoices will show a full breakdown of parts and labour, prices are NOT subject to VAT.
cancelations & re-bookings
- Once a quotation is accepted and a 50% deposit is paid, should you choose to fully withdraw from any works the following will apply...
- A cancelation fee of 10% will be deductible from your 50% up front deposit.
- the 10% deduction will be 10% of total costs of the written quotation,
- There will be NO 10% fee for re-booking agreed quoted works, if the works are re-booked within a month from when the quote was accepted and 50%deposit paid.
emergency callouts & charges
- Sherborne Handyman offers an emergency 24/7 callout service operating 365 days a year.
- Callout charges are calculated for a minimum one hour attendance onsite, with addition of traveling time to and from home or business,
- During an out of hours call we will do our best to repair your asset, but if we are unable, we will secure it so the site is safe and secure. We will then complete a report, and contact you the next day to discuss what further works are required.
- Callout charges cover one hour of labour on site, with addition of traveling time to and from home or business, should we need further time to complete your repair, additional hours will be charged, (no additional hours will charged without customer consent).
- All additional parts and consumables required for a repair will be charged additionally, (no additional parts will charged without customer consent).
- Callout charges will require upfront payment by bank transfer or cash on arrival to secure your emergency callout.
- If bank transfer is not possible, cash payment will be required on arrival to site, to cover the first hour of labour onsite.with addition of traveling time to and from home or business,
- All works will require full payment on completion of callout, including additional labour and parts used, unless prior arrangements are discussed by email.
warranty & insurance
- Sherborne Handyman holds public liability insurance to the sum of £5,000,000 ( FIVE MILLION POUNDS STIRLING ).
- Warranty on parts will be covered by the manufacturers warranty period, warranty on works completed by Sherborne Handyman will be covered for six months, starting from when full payment is made for completed works.
- Warranty will NOT be honoured if damage or failure was a result of miss-use or abuse, outside of normal usage.
- Warranty will NOT be honoured if damage or failure is a result of natural disaster.
legal disclaimer
- All repairs that may result in surrounding plaster, brickwork or paint being disturbed or any making good and decorating is not the responsibility of Sherborne Handyman, unless prior arrangements have been agreed regarding this.
- Many of the items in our gallery are supplied to us by our satisfied customers, therefore it is not always possible to check the origins. If you feel any item in our gallery infringes any copyright or breaches any contract, please email us and we will remove any offending material within 48 hours. We will always do our utmost to rectify any and all instances of infringement.
